Howse Williams (HW), a leading Hong Kong independent law firm, on 12 August 2021, advised Argyle Street Management Limited ("ASM"), being the fund manager of a fund, as the Hong Kong legal counsel, on its HK$470 million investment into the shares of Lai Sun Development Company Limited (stock code: 488).

ASM is an investment fund manager specialising in special situations, undervalued assets, activist investing and structured lending across Asia. It is licensed to carry out type 4 (advising on securities) and type 9 (asset management) regulated activities under the Securities and Futures Ordinance.

The HW team was led by corporate partner, Brian Ho. The team had lead responsibility for legal documentation and general transaction management.
