Howse Williams (“HW”), a leading Hong Kong independent law firm, on 8 November 2024, advised the placing agent, UOB Kay Hian, as the Hong Kong legal counsel, on the HK$86 million placing of exchangeable bonds held by China Water Affairs Group Limited (stock code: 855) that can be exchanged into shares of Kangda International Environmental Company Limited (stock code: 6136) to independent places.
China Water Affairs is principally engaged as an operator of raw water, tap water, pipeline direct drinking water, sewage treatment, drainage, water environmental renovation, smart water and related services in China. On the other hand, Kangda International is principally engaged in the design, construction, operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment plants, water distribution plant, sludge treatment plants and other municipal infrastructure in China.
The HW team was led by corporate partners, Brian Ho and Yvonne Zhang. The team had lead responsibility for legal documentation and general transaction management.
