Howse Williams, a leading Hong Kong independent law firm, advised BeOne Medicines Ltd. (formerly known as BeiGene, Ltd.) (the “Company”), as its Hong Kong legal advisors, on the Company’s change of domicile and continuation to Switzerland (the “Re-domiciliation”). The Re-domiciliation took effect on 27 May 2025 (Swiss time). 

 

The Company is a global oncology company that is discovering and developing innovative treatments that are more affordable and accessible to cancer patients worldwide, with its ordinary shares listed on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (“HKEx”) (Stock Code: 6160), its American depositary shares (ADSs) listed on Nasdaq (Trading Symbol: ONC) and its Renminbi shares listed on the Science and Technology Innovation Board of the Shanghai Stock Exchange (Stock Code: 688235). 

 

The Howse Williams team was led by corporate partner Chris Yu, with the support from senior associate Jennifer Lui and associate Amy Cheung. The team is responsible for providing legal advice to the Company on corporate and regulatory issues, preparing various legal documentation and filings, communicating with the regulators, undertaking cross-jurisdictional transaction management and navigating novel regulatory issues in HK and beyond.
